I said in my haste, ‘I am cut off from before your eyes!’ Nevertheless you heard the voice of my supplications when I cried out to you. Blessed be the Lord, for he has shown me his marvelous kindness.
Into your hand I commit my spirit. I will be glad and rejoice in your mercy, for you have considered my trouble; you have known my soul in adversities.
In you, O Lord, I put my trust; let me never be ashamed. Bow down your ear to me, deliver me speedily; be my Rock of refuge, a fortress of defense to save me.
Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me; Lord, be my helper! You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have put off my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness.
Teach me your way, O Lord, and lead me in a smooth path, because of my enemies. Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord!
In the churches bless God the Lord, all you offspring of Israel. God is wonderful in his saints. Blessed be God!
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good! For His mercy endures forever.
O Good One, you know my poverty and foolishness, my blindness and uselessness, but my soul’s suffering is also before you. Heal me from every hidden wound. Keep me from every impulse unpleasing in your sight and hurtful to my neighbor.
Like the apple of your eye preserve me, O Lord God. Defend me and shelter me from temptations beneath the spread of your wings.
Safe and sound in soul and body, may we zealously persevere in ceaselessly glorifying your wondrous and blessed name: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
